About your Job: 

Support Manager Facilities with maintenance, repairs including improvement where required/possible, induction and handover of properties. Also plans, organizes and monitors all maintenance activities to ensure smooth running of the buildings/facilities at multiple locations.

  • Ensures that staff accommodation are properly maintained as per Qatar Airways standards in a cost effective and timely manner
  • Preparation, review and logging of documented records of maintenance activities.
  • Liaise with housing/ HR for accommodation allocation and availability.
  • Support Manager Property for generating acceptance documents for new properties as well as for preparing handover documents of properties that are returned.
  • Interact with Company employees assigned Maintenance related duties for work distribution and assessment of completed tasks.
  • Support Facilities in maintaining details of company vehicles and fuel cost are used by Maintenance staff. 
  • Ensuring sufficient inventory levels are maintained at Team Leader stores (virtual store)(TL) and Building stores. 
  • Plan & advise Storekeeper of any upcoming bulk requirements from a maintenance perspective.
  • Review and analyze inventory records at time of check in and check out by staff from company accommodation.
  • Supervise personnel (direct & indirect) and manage resources effectively and efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance of all processes and company policy.
  • Supervise employees of Service Provider as well as of maintenance teams deployed by the landlords.
  • Direct daily activities, develop and enforce discipline on the employees of service provider / landlord to ensure a high standard of service delivery.
  • Train and develop other employees, for proper succession planning and risk management.
  • Support / respond to any emergency or operational disruption affecting Qatar Airways or its subsidiaries, including support of the Qatar Airways Special Assistance Program.
  • Responsible to ensure that employees at all levels understand work health and safety requirements and expectations through provision of relevant QR Group induction, information, instruction, training and supervision.
  • Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, security, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the operation to assure employee safety, security, legislative compliance and delivery of high quality service with a responsible environmental attitude.
  • Take a direct and personal interest in reported injuries, incidents, near misses and hazards to ensure that appropriate reporting, investigation and response is being achieved.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as requested by Management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree

Preferred:

  • Associate degree in electrical / mechanical field

Previous Experience:

  • Specialist- Minimum 5 years of job-related experience required

Preferred:

  • Work experience of minimum 5 years in similar position is required out of which at least 3 years should be in the Gulf region
  • 3-4 years experience working in Hotel/Hospitality/Hospitals/Facilities Management

About Your Job:

In this role as Aircraft Technical Lease Projects Manager will be responsible to plan and manage the timeline deliverables and technical aspects for aircraft End of Lease (EOL) projects. You will ensure all technical audits accomplished, issues and queries are captured and agreed with a solution that supports the EOL commercial plan. You will ensure that all technical issues identified in the pre planning process for EOL projects are resolved with the internal and external stake holders and that there are no open technical issues at the end of the maintenance input that could compromise the technical acceptance of the aircraft.

You will manage the EOL interfaces and deliverables, provide technical solutions and action plans to ensure successful EOL process. You will manage the technical actions and responses, ensuring that all departments are provided with a technical overview. You will lead the EOL projects across QTR business ensuring that each department involved is responsible in delivering according to defined process and project timelines. You will manage the process for the definition, creation and scoping of the EOL work scope content in line with the contractual return conditions. You will support the negotiations with the Lessors during Lease Agreement review / finalisation. You will ensure that all lessor’s additional work requests are reviewed and fully challenged and once accepted estimate all such additional work requests and present to the line manager for approval. You will manage and control the key EOL project deliverables including technical acceptance and aircraft de-registration.

You will manage the external process and interface with the Lessor’s representatives ensuring that lease life closure and acceptance of aircraft and the records, in line with EASA / QCAA / FAA regulations. You will ensure that all EOL project technical reviews are completed accurately and in a timely manner. You will also ensure that all findings from the technical audits are addressed, closed and measured in line with the defined EOL process.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you must hold a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electrical or other relevant Engineering disciplines. You must hold ICAO Type II license, held for not less than 8 years. You should have minimum 8 years of job-related experience, including experience in an Airline Engineering / Planning / Technical Records environment and minimum 3 years of experience in management level.

You must have sound knowledge of aircraft and approved data, maintenance concepts, aircraft scheduling and aeronautical regulations (Part-M & Part-145). You must have the ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills and the ability to foster teamwork among team members.

As an Aircraft Mechanic, Light Base Maintenance (B1 or B2) you will be responsible for all aviation maintenance activities in accordance with Aviation Regulations, QCAA and Qatar Airways standards and procedures to the highest shop practices, and in the interest of safety of flight. As well as providing operational results as set by the unit you will also be expected to ensure that performance targets are met in relation to productivity.
About You:
We are looking for a recognised aeronautical / technical college diploma / approved apprenticeship holder with a minimum of 5 years of job related experience (not including training) in which atleast 3 years experience in base maintenance on one or more aircraft types operated by Qatar Airways. Internal candidates should have a minimum total of 5 years experience as an Aircraft Mechanic of which at least 3 years working on modern jet aircraft or minimum of 2 years internal experience as an Assistant Mechanic on jet aircrafts. You should have the ability to perform most tasks and duties independently typical to area of speciality. Should be able to perform routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is required.
