3rd International Workshop on Compact Heat Exchangers for Aerospace Applications
January 2, 2020 - January 3, 2020
Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) and BHEL, Vizag has established Compact Heat Exchangers (CHEs) technology and successfully flight tested in Tejas Aircraft. ADA has conducted 1st International Workshop on CHEs in January, 2010 at ADA in association with BHEL, Vizag & CEMILAC, Bangalore and 2nd International Workshop on CHEs was conducted in December, 2015 at PES University in association with them.
The 3rd International Workshop on CHEs for Aerospace Applications – CHEW 2020 is jointly organized by ADA and Dayananda Sagar University (DSU), Bangalore at DSU, Bangalore on 2nd & 3 rd January 2020. The CHEW 2020 focuses on recent developments in the area of Compact Heat Exchangers. This is being planned as a post workshop to IHMTC 2019 conference to be held at IIT Roorkee, 28 – 31 December 2019. The workshop aims with the participation of eminent scholars in the field of Heat Transfer and Heat Exchangers with emphasis on future aeronautical programs being pursued in the country and to provide awareness to the research scholars/students in this area.
To identify the recent advances in CHE technology.
To have comprehensive information on the intricacies of design, operation problems and elite state of the technology.
To highlight the usage of phase change applications such as compact evaporators or condensers, which are required to use in the recent developments like “All electric/More electric ECS”.
To gain knowledge about generation of Colburn „j‟ factor & friction factor „f‟ design data for the development of phase change Compact Heat Exchangers.
AERONAUTICAL DEVELOPMENT AGENCY:
Aeronautical Development Agency, Bangalore, an autonomous body under Ministry of Defence, is presently functioning as the nodal agency for the design and development of TEJAS, Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) and its derivatives like Trainer and Naval variant. ADA is also involved in feasibility studies of advanced projects like Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) and other futuristic combat air vehicles.
DAYANANDA SAGAR UNIVERSITY:
Created by an Act of Karnataka State in 2014, has been meeting the needs of quality higher education in India. The School of Engineering under DSU provides science and technology based education which is required to develop high quality engineers suitable for industry and scientific organizations. DSU offers courses in engineering, computer applications, science, arts and Managements at Bachelors, Masters and PhD Levels. Focusing on the future trends where India is deemed to be research and development hub of the world, University has already established innovation laboratories in collaboration with world renowned Multi-National Companies like Autodesk-Virtual Design, Bosch Rexroth-Automation Technologies, Automotive System Lab by ETAS (BOSCH), IBM- Software technologies, NVIDIA-Boston innovation lab, VMWare IT Desk, Besides a world class incubation center called DERBI and a Centre of Excellence by Dassault Systems-Aerospace Engineering Lab.
