Bay – Aerospace Dictionary

bay –  1 In aerodyne fuselage or rigid airship hull, portion between two major transverse members such as frames or bulkheads. 2 In biplane or triplane, portion of wings between each set of interplane struts; thus, single-* aircraft has but one set of interplane struts on each side of centreline. 3 In any aircraft or spacecraft, volume set aside for enclosing something (eg, engine *, undercarriage *, bomb *, cargo *, lunar rock *)

axial cone –  In rigid airship, fabric cone at front and rear of each gas cell providing flexible gas-tight connection
